LMLC Policies
The East Pennsboro Area High School Library & Media Learning Commons (LMLC) provides students with a variety of print (both fiction and nonfiction titles) and electronic resources as well as a physical space in which to read, research, study, and collaborate in small groups. The LMLC is well equipped to help students in their preparation for classes, research, and recreational reading along with providing de-stressing activities. All students and staff are strongly encouraged to make use of all the resources available within our facilities. Our goal is to be the core of every high school student’s education.
Schedule:
-
We operate on an open day schedule.
-
Both students and staff are welcome to visit the LMLC throughout the entire school day.

-
Fines will be charged for overdue books when school is in session.
-
The fine for overdue books is $0.05 per day.
-
When a student’s obligation for late, lost, or damaged books exceeds $10.00, the student may no longer take materials out of the LMLC - the student may use materials while in the LMLC only.
-
If a book is lost or damaged, the current price to replace the book will be charged to the student.
Checkout Duration:
-
Print books are circulated for a 2-week period and may be renewed at any time during the two-week period unless there is a waiting list for the book in question.

Students may check out a total of three books at one time.

Students are responsible for all materials that are signed out from the LMLC in their name.

Expectations:

If students are found to not be following the Code of Conduct, they may be asked to leave and will be referred to the administration.
Damaged or Lost Items:
-
Payment for lost materials will be reimbursed if the items are found and returned in acceptable condition before the last day of the current school year -minus the fine which has accumulated from the time that the book was due until it was “purchased”.
-
When a student’s obligation for late, lost, or damaged books exceeds $10.00, the student may no longer take materials out of the LMLC - the student may use materials while in the LMLC only.
-
After the financial obligation has been paid, the student will have full access to the LMLC resources again.
